About
I did not set out to build something like Sanctuary.
It grew out of years of sitting with people...
who were carrying more than they had space to hold.
Leaders. Founders. Pastors. Public figures.
People who were strong, capable, and trusted by many…
but who had very few places where they could be fully honest.
Over time, I began to notice something.
Much of what people carry does not respond to strategy.
It lives underneath it.
That insight did not come from a course or a credential.
It came from the conversations I kept finding myself in.
And from learning to sit with my own life more honestly.
I have spent nearly 20 years walking with people...
through pressure, transition, loss, and rebuilding.
Often in places where visibility made honesty difficult.
I have sat with leaders carrying decisions...
that affect thousands of people.
I am not easily shaken by what people bring.
My background includes:
pastoral ministry
entrepreneurship
coaching
spiritual direction.
Not because Sanctuary is any one of those things.
But because none of them, on their own, were enough...
for the kinds of conversations that kept emerging.
Sanctuary is not built on a method.
It is built on a way of being with people.
When we meet, I am not trying to fix you.
Or move you toward a predefined outcome.
I am listening for what is true.
Paying attention to what is happening beneath the surface.
Helping you see what is easy to miss when you are inside it.
Sometimes that leads to clarity.
Sometimes to decisions.
Sometimes to naming something that has been avoided for a long time.
Sometimes it is simply the experience...
of not having to hold everything together for a moment.
All of it matters.
This work is quiet.
But it is not passive.
It requires honesty.
Attention.
A willingness to be seen more fully than you may be used to.
Over time, something begins to shift.
Not because you are trying harder.
But because what has been hidden no longer has to stay that way.
